1:1 Tutoring lessons
Jenna works with children who attend school and are also home-educated.
School children in the UK and abroad- Jenna mainly supports children with Phonics, English and Maths. Lessons are in line with Reception-Year 4 National Curriculum expectations.
Home-educated children- Jenna works with children who are educated at home. She mainly works with tutees on a 1:1 basis but has also run online group lessons for children who are educated at home. She has run art, baking, geography and so many more classes.
In her main 1:1 lessons, she offers two teaching approaches to home-educated families including:
-1:1 Phonics, English and Maths lessons which are in line with Reception-Year 4 National Curriculum expectations.
OR
-1:1 topic craft-based lessons where tutees request a topic to learn about such as a favourite animal or type of transport and then make a craft.
The lessons are on Zoom and interactive.
1:1 Lesson lengths – Jenna offers three length of lessons including:
1:1 40 minute lesson
1:1 50 minute lesson
1:1 60 minute lesson
Jenna is a qualified primary school teacher now online primary tutor. When she trained to be a teacher, she specialised in Early Years but went on to teach all year groups in Primary.
First lesson– In her first lesson with tutees, she does a baseline assessment to identify what a child knows. The following lessons are based on the next steps identified in the first lesson.
